Tuesday's Tip on Wednesday!

I let the days get away from me sometimes...so here's a tip for all you jewelry designers that I am offering from a recent experience.I was all done with my new necklace and went to add up the cost and realized I had left out a 4mm crystal in the design pattern!So... my tip is always double check your design before you crimp the ends!! Be sure to leave your favorite jewelry making tip in the comments section to win the beautiful Lampwork bead pictured below.

  1. This makes me laugh since I have fallen victim to this senario a number of times. I am now very careful and triple check before crimping!

One of my favorite tips is to lay everything out that is needed before starting a project. That way you save the time and aggravation of retrieving items.

  2. Sometimes when shopping for seed beads, I can't remember if I already have a particular color, so here's an idea to help all of us who have this problem: Put several seed beads of the same color on one head pin and form a loop at the end. Do this for every color of beads that you own. Then string the looped head pins onto a key chain ring. Take it with you when you go bead shopping so you don't buy beads you already have. And you can use your sampler to shop for beads that are complimentary.
